Shinestar
The Shinestar is one of Valstar’s varieties, which has been produced in-house. The Shinestar has beautiful round dark leaves with a light green border. Calatheas are named after the Greek word for basket. The flowers (which are very slight) are arranged together resembling a basket. The Shinestar is originally from Brazil.

We deliver this plant in the 12 and 19 centimetre pot sizes.
Care Tips
- The Shinestar does not like being put in direct sunlight and is, therefore, suitable for shadowy areas
- The temperature must remain between 15 and 25 degrees Celsius (59 to 77 degrees Fahrenheit)
- This plant needs to be watered regularly but not abundantly
- Adding plant food in the water every fortnight is very beneficial to the colour of the leaves
